I can’t think of any other festival in Halifax that provides the amount of energy and excitement that Nocturne does, in just one night. It’s electric. In fact, one might say it’s magical. My favourite exhibits are those of the audio visual variety. Last Nocturne, Caley MacLennan’s “Convergence” was one that stood out. An experimental 3D video piece, that for me, embodied what Nocturne represents. An opportunity for creative people to experiment within their crafts coupled with a display of courage, necessary to share their artistic visions with their community. Oh, and it’s at night! I support the communications work of Nocturne to help spread the word because I think everyone should attend!
