Formed in 2016, Breaking Circus Collective is a Nova Scotian company of professional contemporary circus artists, co-directed by Dawn Shepherd and Ryan Gray. Breaking Circus sets and breaks their own rules in order to create, explore and engage with the full spectrum of our human experience. The company reaches into the unknown and finds new ways to weave stories through cross-discipline experiments and integration of technology. Breaking Circus Collective is excited to bring their unique blend of contemporary circus to Nocturne audiences this year with, “Skywhispers of Terrestrial Dreams”, a live performance art installation of contemporary circus. The current collective includes the original 6 members plus a rotating roster of talented new recruits.
