Charlotte MacLean, otherwise known as Charlie, is a media artist who is interested in horror, humour, and pathos. They graduated from NSCAD in 2023 with a BFA in Fine Art, and in 2024 they were the Video Artist in Residence at the Centre for Art Tapes. They work with a wide variety of media, including oil painting, puppetry, and Unity Game Engine. Their work brings handcrafted art objects into digital worlds to explore themes of escape, privilege, history, listlessness, impermanence, and desire.
