Polaris is an adult community choir that rehearses weekly and is characterized by diverse, mid to high level choral repertoire, and in-depth reflection on social change topics. Led by a team of artistic leaders and social dialogue facilitators, Polaris has been performing in the Halifax region since 2017 as one of three choirs that forms Choirs for Change Association. Polaris recently performed as part of Mayworks Halifax: Festival of Working People & the Arts (May 2019), at the NSGEU Conference (May 2019), Nocturne: Art at Night Festival (October 2018, 2019, and 2020), and hosted other events as part of Choirs for Change.
