I make layered stories about time, memory, and human experience — through symbolic images, natural forms, and the rich textures of mixed media.

I was born and raised in Moldova, and as far back as I can remember, I have always been drawn to art. I would use whatever I could find—colour pencils, watercolours, gouache, and anything else that could become a tool for creating.

One childhood memory has stayed with me. During the renovation of our building, I found a small piece of glass and some white wall paint. I began drawing on the glass, fascinated by how different and beautiful it looked on a transparent surface. I remember thinking it was something truly special.

Later, while studying architecture at university, I took art classes and continued exploring my creativity. But life took me in another direction, and painting slowly became a part of my past.

Thirty years ago, I moved to Canada, always carrying a quiet dream that one day I would return to painting. That day finally came.

Now, I am back to my favourite activity—and I can’t seem to stop. Painting has become a way for me to explore emotions, memories, ideas, and the beauty I see around me.
