Gillian Seaward-Boone completed Halifax Dance's Intensive Training Program before studying and graduating from L'Ecole de Danse Contemporaine de Montreal. Post-graduation, Gillian worked with several Montreal and Toronto-based choreographers before eventually joining O Vertigo Danse as a full company member under the direction of Ginette Laurin. During her time with the company, she toured extensively through North America, Europe and Asia. Gillian returned to Halifax while on maternity leave in 2013 and regularly performs with Mocean Dance as a full company member while working independently with other local and national artists. With nearly 20 years of teaching experience, Gillian regularly teaches professional and pre-professional contemporary technique classes and is a member of the Halifax Dance ITP modern faculty.
