Helen Verbanz is a Canadian visual artist based in Halifax, Nova Scotia. She was born and raised in Ontario; the northern frontier of the province has had a profound influence on her art. Her photography and mixed media installations investigate landscape as the backdrop for memory, psychological projection, and a barometer of changing social attitudes. Her exhibition history includes Wychwood Arts Centre, Toronto ; The Studios at Key West, Florida; Wellington Arts Centre, New Zealand; Montreal's Biennial, Le Mois de la Photo, and Marion McCain Atlantic Art Exhibition at the Beaverbrook Art Gallery in Fredericton New Brunswick. Verbanz’s work is included in private and public collections.
