1. WEBSITE

Use this website to plan what projects you want to see and when you can see them. Navigate to the Projects page from the main menu, then sort by Zone or Day & Time, or view the interactive map. You can also filter the projects with the filter bar, search for artists you know and love, and favourite projects to build your own custom list on the My List page! Don’t forget to check out our shop to get your official Nocturne gear (and our new glow in the dark shirt ✨)!

2. WEATHER

Nocturne happens rain or shine! The show must go on so please dress accordingly so that you can enjoy all of the projects (both indoor and outdoor).

3. COVID

While Covid restrictions have been lifted in most areas, some venues and artists have mask preferences. Please come prepared with a mask and be mindful and respectful of those preferences.

4. GUIDE

Find printed guides at key locations around HRM. Pick up the guide at the Launch Party on Oct 13 from 8-10 pm, from volunteers during the festival (who will be stationed at venues and throughout the zones), or from the following red Coast boxes.

Zone 1: Outside Coburg Coffee, 6085 Coburg Road. *update Oct 15: this Coast box disappeared as of last night. Please go to Zone 2 to find more guides or Dalhousie Art Gallery.

Zone 2: Halifax Central Library (by the bus stop).

Zone 3: Halifax Ferry Terminal (outside of the main door).

Zone 4: Oxford/Quinpool (bus stop outside the old theatre).

Zone 5: Info desk in the ferry terminal (Alderney) or outside Lawtons on Portland Street.

5. INFO BOOTHS

If you need help during the festival, visit a zone info booth! Volunteers will be stationed there to assist you, help you find projects, and hand out guides.

Zone 1: In front of the Dalhousie Art Gallery.

Zone 2: In front of the Halifax Central Library on Spring Garden.

Zone 3: Foundation Wharf on the boardwalk.

Zone 4: In front of the North End Memorial Library.

Zone 5: In front of the MacPhee Centre, 50 Queen Street.

We Can Dance: Across from the We Can Dance setup (it looks like a container box).

6. THE HUB

Need more info? Visit the Nocturne Hub! Find us at the Downtown Halifax Business Commission, 1546 Barrington Street. Staff and volunteers will answer questions, and you can pick up the guide and purchase official Nocturne merch. The hours for the Hub are Thursday, Oct 13 & 14, 5-8 pm and Saturday, Oct 15, 5-11 pm.
