Nocturne is a fall festival that brings art and energy to the streets of Halifax between 6pm and midnight on a Saturday night in late October each year. The completely free event showcases and celebrates the visual arts scene in Halifax. Nocturne, designed and planned by volunteers, is an opportunity for everyone to experience the art of Halifax in a whole new light. Nocturne is a non-profit organization and has been operating successfully for eight years, 2016 will be the ninth year for the event.
We are currently looking for a Runner for the week prior to the festival to assist with logistics, signage, and general assistance with various tasks to support the festival’s working board of directors and programming committee. You will be responsible for delivering exhibit signs to artists and community groups, mounting bus signs, and picking up various items for the festival. You will do airport pick-ups for visiting artists as required.
You are a fit for this role if you are able to manage multiple tasks and prioritize to meet deadlines. You are also familiar with the core Halifax and Dartmouth areas and are comfortable navigating through them. And you are a team player and excellent communicator.
You must have a provide proof of a Valid Driver’s License and have your own vehicle (mileage will be provided).
Dates required: October 10-15th (Monday – Saturday)
Wage: $14 per hour (approx. 7 hours per day)
Flexible hours may be required.
