This project shows the the versatility and stories behind styled black hair. Throughout history we were taught that our hair wasn't beautiful and was unacceptable in society, forcing a wedge between self love and acceptance.
Black hair comes in many forms, colors, textures, styles and lengths; from natural to relaxed to weaved, loose bouncy curls to tight kinky coils, white blonde to jet black, shaved to afro to braided to loc'd, all together displayed to show the versatility that shines within our natural crowns.
