Using experiences in the forest, this project will bring attention to the loss of habitat for animals, birds, and insects due to clearcutting and the exponentially increasing use of life-destroying chemicals.
A make-believe forest was created from repurposed canvas with the help of many volunteers. The audience will be asked to enter the forest to play a game, similar to a treasure hunt, in which participants are given clues to find representations of forest creatures hidden in their natural habitats. Everyone will leave with a prize of small hand painted leaves or wildlife.
