Between 2014 and 2017, NiS+TS presented public walking events that explore the ways in which the December 6, 1917 Halifax Harbour Explosion and its aftermath continue to shape diverse experiences and understandings of this city.

WALKING THE DEBRIS FIELD: Entre 2014 et 2017, NiS + TS a présenté des visites guidées explorant la façon dont l'explosion du port de Halifax, le 6 décembre 1917, et ses conséquences continuent de façonner diverses expériences et faits à Halifax. Des méthodes de recherche et de création telles que la psychogéographie, une approche expérimentale de l'espace urbain, ont été combinées à des collaborations interdisciplinaires avec plus de 130 organisations et particuliers. Ces projets actuellement exposés au Musée maritime de l’Atlantique ont été créés par NiS + TS pour marquer le centenaire de l’explosion et ont été exposés à la Dalhousie Art Gallery à la fin de 2017.
Between 2014 and 2017, NiS+TS presented public walking events that explore the ways in which the December 6, 1917 Halifax Harbour Explosion and its aftermath continue to shape diverse experiences and understandings of this city. Research and creation methods such as psychogeography, an experiential approach to urban space, are combined with interdisciplinary collaborations with more than 130 organizations and individuals. The projects now on display at the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic were created by NiS+TS to mark the Explosion’s centenary, and were originally exhibited at the Dalhousie Art Gallery in late 2017.
