Sperm whales and Orca’s can produce sound waves strong enough to stun their prey. Turple’s Echolocation will create sounds and lights that will shock the city into dance.
Echolocation is a physiological process for locating distant or invisible objects by means of sound waves reflected to the emitter by the objects. One way animals use echolocation is to find food. Bats use echolocation to help them find insects in the dark. Dolphins use echolocation to zero in on the fish they are trying to catch. Echolocation is also used for navigation, foraging, and hunting in various environments. Echolocating animals emit calls out to the environment and listen to the echoes of those calls that return to them. Turple Communications will produce musical sounds that will call out to the city. Sound waves will be transmitted through the downtown core by speakers, tantalizing the public. With hearts racing to the beat of a song, Turple will listen for the echoes of citizens dancing to the beats being immitted. Enraptured, the sounds will entice dancers to shake, shimmy, and step their way to a light installation that will transform the sound waves into a stunning visual display of light and movement.
