Step onto the gallery runway for Fit Check. Verve Gallery is throwing open its doors for a hands-on, interactive pop-up celebrating the haptic magic of local handcrafted fashion. Featuring custom creations by Skunks n’ Roses, Daytime People, and Pam Juarez, guests are invited to touch, try on, and pose in hand-stitched leather, sheepskin collars, hand-painted scarves, and colourful clothes. Snap a photo at our dedicated backdrop and explore how wearable art transforms the way we carry ourselves through the city.
Fit Check brings fashion and fine craft into the gallery for an interactive, hands-on night at Verve. Wearable art is meant to be worn, not tucked behind a glass case! For Nocturne, Verve Gallery is throwing open the doors for a lively pop-up with local makers Skunk n’ Roses, Daytime People and Pam Juarez. Visitors will get to step into the gallery, ditch the traditional "do not touch" rules, and get fully hands-on with custom, hand-stitched leather bags, belts, sheep skin collars, hand painted scarves and exquisitely sewn clothes. Guests are invited to try on the pieces, feel the weight of the hardware, test out different fits, and snap a photo in our dedicated backdrop station. It’s equal parts fitting room, craft celebration, and fashion photo-op—giving everyone a chance to express their personal style and feel the raw, tactile magic of handmade clothes and accessories. Clothes and accessories play a large role in how we inhabit our city every single day. Fit Check celebrates the physical connection between our bodies, our personal style, and the clothes we wear. By encouraging visitors to touch, wear, and pose in handcrafted pieces, the project explores the sensory joy of craft and the way personal adornment changes how we carry ourselves through the city.
