Ada Denil
Ada Denil (she/her) is a visual artist working primarily in sculpture and installation, as well as drawing and printmaking. Her recent work contemplates interpersonal relationships between bodies in shared spaces, as well as the physically defined elements which constitute these environments.
She has shown work locally in Nova Scotia at the Corridor Gallery, Argyle Fine Art, the Company House, and the Chester Arts Center. In 2021 she received the 2011 Canada Games Young Artist of Excellence Award (NSTT), and was shortlisted for the NSCAD Student Art Awards in both 2020 and 2022. She has also received support for her work in sculpture, printmaking and drawing from the NSTT, the AJC, and NSCAD University. She grew up on the south shore of Nova Scotia in LaHave, and now lives, studies and works both in Halifax and the south shore."
