WHAT IS NOCTURNE?

Nocturne is an independent, free, contemporary art festival in Kjipuktuk/Halifax. Each October the festival brings art and energy to the streets of our city. The completely free annual event showcases and celebrates the visual arts scene in Mi'kma'ki/Nova Scotia. In addition to the annual festival, Nocturne oversees a collection of arts programming utilizing the same mentality that art can be anywhere. Nocturne: Art at Night is a non-profit organization founded in 2008 around the simple idea to make something astounding happen right here.
