JOIN THE VOLUNTEER COMMITTEE

NEW IN 2018

What is it?

We are looking for volunteers who can assist Nocturne’s Director of Volunteers with planning, scheduling and organization of our night-of team of volunteers in order to have a successful festival. You will help with recruiting volunteers and coming up with new ways to thank them!

What are you expected to do?

• Attend volunteer committee meetings throughout the year (flexible dates, once a month or more during the busier months)
• Attend university fairs and other society events to recruit volunteers along with Nocturne’s Executive Director
• Attend the volunteer orientation sessions with Volunteer Director or Executive Director
• Administration duties such as helping to manage volunteer contacts and scheduling
• Help organize events
• Set volunteers up for success on the night of Nocturne
• Organize Volunteer party after the festival (or other ideas to thank our hardworking volunteers)

Requirements

• Availability on the night of Nocturne (It’s usually the Saturday after Thanksgiving in October)
• One year of experience attending Nocturne as a volunteer.

The ideal applicant will have:

• Volunteer experience with different organizations
• Punctuality and a strong sense of responsibility and urgency
• Managing experience or enjoy working with others
• Sponsorship or fundraising experience
