Interactions with land, body and technology shape and reshape our relationships to ourselves, each other and the systems that support and oppress us.

This pervasive experimental performance piece explores these questions through text message and web-based platforms. From October 13-15, “world shapers” can “opt-in” to receive prompts that will invite them to move, sound, feel, play, notice, and respond. These responses will then be woven into the fabric of the emergent world that will be shared through a live, multi-disciplinary COVID-safe performance on October 16th.

In these times, questions of how to stay connected in work, care and community challenge us. These questions also offer possibilities to explore feeling distance, vulnerability, protection, and technology.

As we re-pattern and re-habit relationships, questions arise …

  • Can we feel each other across distance?
  • Do we know the other is there if we cannot sense them in our usual ways?
  • Can tech devices be extensions of our bodies?
  • Can our “tech extremities” see, feel, speak, listen, taste, connect?
  • How do they influence, enable or contaminate our relationships?
  • How can we shape and re-shape these interactions?

This pervasive experimental performance piece explores these questions through text message and web-based platforms. From October 13-15, “world shapers” can “opt-in” to receive prompts that will invite them to move, sound, feel, play, notice, and respond.
