Hello - my name is Anna Whalen and I have been an art educator for over 30 years. I graduated from the Nova Scotia College of Art & Design many moons ago, received my masters degree from the University of British Columbia and recently completed my studio certificate at NSCAD.

I'm nuts about painting, especially tasty looking paintings. I also particularly enjoy a witty work or a thoughtful take on a subject. I committed to daily painting over a year ago and it has been a phenominally reviving experience. Love it!

I have many daily paintings to share. You might note that I do a lot of series. When I start with a thread of an idea and paint it, I think of more ways to explore it.
