We Couldn’t Do It Without You!

The glitter is settling and Nocturne 2021: Liminal is now behind us.

Thank you, Kjipuktuk, for meeting us at the art show this past week. We have loved being ~liminal~ with you and sharing in the art and wonder of our city, using art as a catalyst for connection.

Big thanks to our curator Liliona Quarmyne and artists–our reason for the season–for the work they shared with us, to the volunteers for giving so much of your time and energy, to our staff who worked behind the scenes, to our community partners for creating spaces for art and art-making in our every day, and to YOU for showing up and celebrating with us.

Deepest gratitude to our partners and funders who made it all possible:
RBC
Canada Council for the Arts
Heritage Canada
Arts Nova Scotia
Province of Nova Scotia
HRM
Propeller Brewery
Emera
Develop NS
Downtown Halifax
Experience Parkland
Downtown Dartmouth
The Coast

We have a few post-festival presentations - watch for those soon and you can keep Nocturne going by checking out the virtual projects that still live!

We look forward to hearing from you in our festival survey but for now - we hope you feel that buzz for a long time and find ways to support and take in art that happens all year round.

Keep The Good Times Rolling

Nocturne will continue to put out a quality festival each year in Kjipuktuk and support the many artistic communities here in Mi'kma'ki. But we can’t do it without you! There are plenty of ways to support Nocturne.
