Annie MacMillan, “Lures”, video projection is a Nocturne one-night presentation to be visible in the gallery and from Doyle Street. A mixture of text and image, It is witty, fast paced and puzzling. MacMillan suggests the possible alternative functions and characteristics of mysterious objects.

Also in the gallery will be an exhibition of paintings by Brian Burke, “Suddenly it was as though nothing had happened”, oil on canvas. Nocturne will be the first day of this exhibition which runs to November 13th. PEI artist Brian Burke paints enigmatic figures in undetermined situations. The exhibition is concurrent with a major retrospective at the Confederation Centre for the Arts Gallery in Charlottetown, which also opens October 19.
