Just Neighbors is a silent film from 1919 featuring comedic actor Harold Lloyd. As was the tradition 100 years ago, organist and silent film accompanist Shawn Whynot creates a live soundtrack during the presentation of this film on the massive pipe-organ at St. Matthews United Church. This film was chosen to depict the idea of people who become neighbors and, after the scaffold comes down, must find a way to live together in community. Just Neighbors takes a humorous approach to this concept and, through a series of comedic mishaps, shows neighbors can come together and live together in community. The music during the film's presentation artistically punctuates what the audience is seeing on the screen in real time.
