Under Construction: Cityscape - Churchscape
This installation is a walk or a journey from cityscape through churchscape and back with new ideas to play with in the cityscape.
“Under Construction: Cityscape Churchscape” is an art installation presented through the experience of a journey. Much like one walks through the cityscape, people of faith walk through a churchscape; one’s experience and learnings in the churchscape, affects one’s relationships with and in the cityscape. The journey of faith is one of being under construction. The relationship between cityscape and churchscape can be compatible or fraught with tension. Cityscape and churchscape are about buildings, gardens, and a physical/material presence; they are also about an intangible essence articulated in the realm of emotions, spirit, and community values. This project dreams of engaging community in wrestling with these ideas.
