Recently, Saint Mary’s Cathedral Basilica went through the laborious process of reconstructing and restoring five beautifully painted panels of murals dating from the late 19th and early 20th centuries. During Nocturne 2023, you will have the opportunity to view these art panels up close and illuminated with special lighting. To enhance this visual experience, you will also be listening to organists providing a live soundtrack of ethereal music, coming from the majestic pipe organ that lives in the gallery of Saint Mary’s Cathedral Basilica. A unique opportunity to walk through Saint Mary’s Cathedral Basilica at night, viewing timeless art, and listening to the ancient sounds of the pipe organ.
