DELIGHTFUL DOWNTOWN - Granville Mall

Brightly-coloured bistro sets were installed in Granville Mall to provide movable and adjustable seating and dining options, allowing for many different configurations. In addition to this colourful and comfortable seating, string lights were wrapped around trees in the area to add a luminated pedestrian experience. This additional lighting in the space also provides a safer environment, as individuals travelling at night now have a better-lit pathway to guide them to their destination. This lighting combined with the seating in the pedestrian mall also allows persons to have a space where they can linger both during the day as well as at night.

As part of the Downtown Halifax Business Commission's DELIGHTFUL DOWNTOWN program, tree-wrapped lights are installed throughout Granville Mall, as well as other street segments and parks. These illuminated enhancements create a wonderful pedestrian experience, as well as offer an opportunity for persons to enjoy an inviting and vibrant setting within Downtown Halifax.
